There were a few signs trying to direct people off the M54 at J2, which my father did. I think he got off at 0900 and just after noon, was told the airshows was full and pulled on a verge up close by to the airfield. It was a similar story to our neighbours in the car park; he had set off as the same time as his friend. Neighbour like me had chosen to go to J3 and his friend was still stuck in traffic via J2. The queue on the hard shoulder for J3 was miles long too and I must confess to some hopping!
Anyway it was a superb day with blue sky and fluffy clouds.
Reds were superb and so were th Blades, apart from their commentator who appears to be the very same annoying woman (Kat Nicholls?) who commented for Team Guinot last year at Legends.
I’m not sure about the Blue Eagles being one Lynx and one Apache. The Lynx seems lost without his lttle Gazelle friends. Still the loops and rolls were good.
I actually enjoy the Aerostars. It just seems a shame they put you guys on last when people are leaving, left or just tired.
Anyway I was distracted from the Aerostars this year because as the other half LOVES the Vulcan and I just so happened to have an engagement ring squirrelled away, I popped the question on ‘558s last pass. 🙂
