Also the Air Force doesn’t pay tax on their AVGAS. A huge saving in the operation of a piston type vs that privately operated.

The low season coverage a few years ago showed some of the airframes fracturing. How long should we keep flying aerobatically on an old airframe?

I just corrected the spelling on the subject title. Hangers are found in one’s wardrobe. Not quite as exciting.

Backing up what sadsack said. I’ve been once on a forum visit. The Hunter was parked outside the GWF then. I thought it was bloody gorgeous in the flesh.

Can’t we just order nine new T 2 plus spare aircraft? More power, FADEC and glass cockpit. Keeps those jobs still in the UK. No brainer?

So what we really need to do in order to get a working airworthy Sabre is engage the WI? I don’t think anyone has hitherto thought of that and it is possibly where the world has been going wrong. Until now 😉

If there changes in speed/attitude, yes, but that’s the same with effects on any aircraft. Normally you wouldn’t trim in a transitory position, but I guess the stick forces are so great ins Hurricane?

Maybe if loads started flying. But we’re shortly losing the Vulcan. There’s always room for more.

Presumably he also flies faster than the speed of sound over land?
