Hardly historic 😉 😉
Any news on the drive to get this piece of legislation changed?
EASA – European Aviation Safety Agency. A European level CAA set up to dictate common regulatory practices.
Trying to make sense out of their website for updates and proposed changes seems to be beyond the means of most men 🙁
If there’s one thing I remember from enforced RE at school, is that the Swastika comes from Hinduism and that the “wheel” went the other way.

proves me partially wrong, actually Dharmism derived and goes the same way?

TDVB. Apparently flies very fast on a modicum of horsepower.
Whooops, both images seem to have become corrupted. 😮
Hey Ollie the depicted Eurostar and MCR-01 are microlights. However these models do come in Group A variants iirc.
Hippy barthday Mr T 😀
Difference? More modern avionics and bigger engine.
There was the odd one or two Bulldogs frames that were kicking around next to the shed. I think DS acquired it all through the MoD disposal process.
There has been some activity on the Spit rep but it seems that has progressed nay further. You could offer to put it back together and display at MAM though I bet you will say there are 1001 more jobs to do first! 🙂
BoB yes, acquired or at least appeared about 5 years ago when I learnt to fly there. Part of the Squires Air Force (he owns the Bulldogs and part of the Chippy).
Doesn’t Belfast need employment any more then?
Moggy
Quite possibly given Bombardier laid off the Shorts staff. But do we really need UK plc giving jobs to the boys again? I suppose its down to if the MoD need any mods done (hoho) to meet the training requirements.
Do we go Swiss, American or Brazilian?
They (the UK MoD) are undergoing an assessment exercise. You may have noticed the contenders kicking around airshows for the last couple of years.
I posted this elsewhere last year
Mid-2007 it is expected the MoD will choose a basic trainer in the single-turboprop category for the MFTS competition.
See Flight’s website
Choices include the

Pilatus PC-21

Raytheon (Beech) T-6B

Super Tucano
Will they go with the Tuc again?
AIUI there’s crated Viper engines sitting around at a reasonble price that can be fitted to the JP should a replacement be necessary. Can the same be said for the Garrett-powered Shorts Tucano? In fact, are the engines made anymore?
Here’s the website for the Canadian Fokker
Well done Consul, indeed it was! Super little advert that, lots of low formation flying.
