Seems this time the Shintou ceremony on 2006.03.03 for JMSDF MCH-101 #1 has a Miko (priestess).

After the USN lays off the Tomcat, the US Army might hire it and adapt it to military ops in urban terrain?
Apparently the 25 February 2006 episode of the Fuji TV programme Moshimo Tours, #156, went to Iruma AB, Dasaitama Prefecture, and Matsushima AB, Miyagi Prefecture.

AFAIK, that UH-1 didn’t crash, but was voluntarily scuttled.
] it seems more like a live defense equipment exhibition to sell products
] than an exercise.
The formal purpose of the exercise was a joint anti-terrorism operation… but it involved strategic bombers.
Then again, for the same purpose of anti-terrorism, the US military under Reagan (RIP), bombed Libya. Under Emperor Clinton, launched cruise missiles into Afghanistan. Under Emperor Bush II, invaded and conquered Afghanistan. So the deployment of strategic assets looks comparable.
Anyway. After the exercise, reportedly the Russians complained about Chinese deficiencies, such as Chinese fighters arriving late at rendez-vous points, and delaying/endangering the attackers they were tasked to escort. And paratroopers jumping at higher altitudes, and taking more time to land, assemble, and assault.

IMO, probably during the China-Russia exercise, in 2005.
*OFF-TOPIC ALERT*
] One thing I hate about posting complete web pages is the porno in it.
Personally, if the pics I find are, eh, arbitrarily borrowed from arbitrary message boards where I lurk, I cross-post the pics here.
But if the pics are more than one, or are a photo collection at a commercial, legit site, I prefer to post the link, and maybe one of the pics as sample.
