Serial numbers of three crashed ROCN S-70Cs are “5” apart (in-between).
12 January 1994: S-70C-M1, 2311.
19 October 2005: S-70C-M2, 2316.
21 October 2008: S-70C-M2, 2321.
Serial numbers coincidence or jinx?

Japanese 2ch and Futaba public-domain message boards are still full of flameage between Japanese right-wing Netters and South Korean Netters, with some of the latter living/studying/working in Japan.
Personally, last year or so, I used to post military pics in a Japanese message board where messages are written in Chinese, because it has more moderate/rational Hongkonger/Taiwanese Netters than Japanese Netters; but then I lost interest because the Japanese Netters there kept provoking me (which I ignored) and claiming I’m also a South Korean trouble-maker based in Japan. 8P

] Hey, whatever works.
Actually, ISTR reading about the WWII pigeon-guided smart glide bombs in an ancient issue of Air Force Magazine (the USAF one) or Av Leak?
] And there is a grain of truth to the idea that South Korea often mirrors Japanese defence developments,
The South Korean media usually claim the South Koren developments are more capable than their neighbour’s; for example, the F-15K and South Korean Aegis destroyers are more capable than the F-15J/DJ and Kongou Class destroyers, because the South Korean ones can fire cruise missiles for land attacks, &c. The Japanese hardware obviously aren’t designed for long-range attacks.
OTOH, the Japanese Netters countered with their F-15s don’t fall into manholes, nor fly into the sea at night, nor throw frogs into an engine intake for fun.
