Thomas Cook’s A330’s are nice planes to go on. As are Thomson’s 767’s.

Thomas Cook’s A330’s ptv’s are old and crash and need replacing. The toilets downstairs are good. The seats are not good if you want to sleep.

Thomson’s 767’s are better, newer ptv’s, better seats and better onboard service and nicer meals.

You got those the wrong way round. TCX has a rolling video so its virtually impossible to crash.

Thomson PTV’s have to be reset often and on some planes dont even work at all.

What’s gone wrong with her now, as I said inside was grotty and panels were coming away from the roof, some of the lights inside were out or flickering, IFE was bust and had been for some time so we were told? Wonder if she is the Friday afternoon plane of the bunch? Funny I think I am correct but isn’t PJLO the only one without winglets.

Jethros has it down as -W but i dont think she is at the moment. I think LO is the first one ear marked to go after the 787’s arrive so i wonder if they think its not worth spending as much on the interior.

Thought they would carry basic Thomson titles though.

TBH i think they look a mess when they do that, at the end of the day First Choice is still a well known brand that is being used. Operated by Thomson Airways appears at all doors, is on all literature, safety vids and announcements.

    any reason why not ?

A32* will be on the way out in the next two years so waste of money they dont have
B767 DBLA/PJLO/OOAN/OOBK/ at least will be leaving when the B787 comes.

They seem very relaxed on the repaint programme it’s taking over 2 years since the merger. Thomas Cook and MYT was done within months.

No relax just exactly what was planned, repaints are only happening when the aircraft requires check. The B76s are not being done at all, nor are the a321’s and a320s as they will be going anyway

In terms of IFE and shoddy state of interior it was at the time of G-OOBK being out of service and every 767 has been working flat out with no down time. PJLO is fine now ife working and very clean.

I am pretty sure there was no visible internal damage on landing, it was only on external inspection that anything was noticed about the crease.

    Doubt it.

Are the A330’s doing Canadian Affair routes this winter ?
Don’t the 767’s ever go to Calgary, Vancouver etc ?

The order has been put in for A32X family to replace all Boeings by 2015 as announced in the results meeting begining of the week.

A330’s are operating selected routes/767’s never go to Canada.

TUI have taken over most of the cruise flights now and there are still MDBD, OMYT and MLJL

Yeh they are at end of lease and of course long haul has already been cut so they were mostly operating short haul flights.

I have a feeling Boeing may be stumping up a lot of the cost a la 787 delays
