    We bumped TWO times at the landing, finally landing for the thrid touch. The pilot got a bit agressive because the plane bounced, which resulted in landing together with the nose and main wheels at the same time

    wooooww, that was rough !!!

    wow….i’ve been a few hours away and i have so many replies !!!
    honestly I enjoy applauding, once i was on a CSA Czech Airlines flight from Prague to Beirut, and even though it was a very rough landing, everyone on the plane was applauding and even one man was shouting: BRAVO CAPTAIN BRAVO !!! Now that’s a good mood !!! 😀

    Pablo, i agree, applauding is getting less common these days, but it’s such a nice way to expess a feeling (passionate return home, holliday….).

    it’s still not 0% Pollution with all the lubricants/oils/fluids that are still there hehehehe…

    well…..right….but engine speaking, i guess engines are the cause of 99% of pollution .

    yes indeed, very nice place for spotting, a huge variety of airliners. But unfortunately you must have a permit from the airport authorities to be able to take pictures (for security reasons).

    In my opinion, there are many differences, much more than things in common. the MTOW for example, and also the A340-300 can carry up to 295 passengers(the A340-600 up to 380 passengers), the 707 up to only 147 passengers. Of course years counts, the 707 is old and the 340 is relatively new, but i would call the A340 a longhaul widebody much more than a 707.

    Pablo, I think you are right, the A330s need probably more colours.
