It could be Digby but i arrived at 8am and it was not windy. I don’t think the wind picked up until nearer lunchtime.

Thanks for the P-51 snapper. Sorry i didn’t make it up to meet everyone, by the time i had meet my freinds and walked around it was past 1.30 and i didn’t think anyone would still be there.
Matadors did it for me along with the Breitling boyo’s. About time the aircraft were parked facing away from the crowd. Lets hope it’s the same for legends. I wish they would leave the Harrier at home though.
Will a Hunter be available?
Whats up with the OFMC P40?
Does anyone know contact details of Wensley Haydon-Baillie?
Does he still have a museum in the pipeline?
I only knew of a second T-33 until last night when i came across a photo of Ormond kneeling in front of 3 T-33’s at Duxford. 2 were bare metal. I know 1 was G-WGHB but what was the other one’s reg number?
I am currently absolutely gutted as i have just spent my savings and there is an auction at the RAF museum at Hendon tomorrow and there is an original oil painting by Roland Wong for sale called the Black Knight. It depicts 2 T-33’s flying over a castle that could be in Germany. Valued at £500 – £600.
I don’t suppose anyone knows if there was a print done of it. My guess is that it was an original done most probably for Haydan-Baillie.
How do i enable private messaging?
Yak 11 Fan, could you tell me what they came from? Was it a brochure or a piece in a magazine?
Thanks A330Crazy but that wasn’t quite what i was after.
Yak 11 Fan you are an angel, that is exactly what i needed. Do you have anymore?
Thanks in advance.
Alexis
What i ment about the mag iin 1984 was that it contained lots of info about the aircraft and pilots on the U.K circuit. The latest edition wastes half the mag on international airshows. My point is that i don’t want to read about overseas airshows, i just want to know what is on over here and who will be taken part. If the U.S.A need to find out what airshows they have on let them have their own magazine.
I thought it was a pretty good go at it seeing that the modern RAF are trained to play with computers and then the computers do all the hard work. I was wondering why they as RAF crews did not have access to BBMF’s Lanc. Why go all the way to Canada when we’ve got one here?
HFC have got CAA permission to fly the exact route of the record run. They are using the red Hunter and it will start from Farnboro and head to Goodwood from there it will do a low run down the Tangmere rumway to simulate take off and then will do the record run ( though unfortunately not at the same speed ). It will then fly back to Tangmere to simulate the landing before returning to Farnboro via Goodwood. They are hoping to arrange it for Neville to follow the red one in a 2-seater. This is the plan but if it comes off this way who knows until the day. Knowing the U.K it will probably be weathered in.
Back to G-HUNT, the RAF also refused to help Spencer obtain the rockets for the seat but luckily he found a way around that.
I think the price being asked for her is way to high considering she was grounded due to corrosion being found in a wing and has not flown since then which was early 1992.
I e-mailed him a couple of weeks ago asking why he had been taken off of the Classic Jet Airshow list and his reply was “fingers crossed i may be back on for Kemble”.
