Breitling Fighters arrived home at about 18.30. Ray Hanna flew the La-9, Lee Proudfoot was in the Corsair, Alister Kay flew MH434 and Nigel Lamb was in TD248.
Paul,
I can’t seem to get the shiny texture to work for me. I want that last version of 434 you have posted. I’ll send you a private message regarding what was in the e-mail.
Paul,
Where did you get that MH434 from? And did you get my e-mail regarding repaints?
BORRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRING
I have just been told that the parking area outside hanger 1 has been severely reduced in size, with the barrier being brought right back to make the area the new ‘jet pan’. It is apparently a perminent change. Can anyone confirm this?
No, just shot and plucked for Xmas dinner.
I’ve had this Sea Fury for about 2 weeks now, it looks fab and flies pretty good but i can’t taxi it around, any idea’s?
A big box of T-shirts with some potent smelling chemical to remove the mess, that was pretty fast at eating paintwork too. You’ll never believe how hard those bugs are splattered onto the airframe and they’re even harder to remove.
That P-51 lookalike is based at Deenethorpe. I had a ride in it a few years ago, ended with a very exciting landing to say the least. It handles alot like a Chipmunk.
Did one of the polls break as Denny went through it?
That was just my opinion. I saw the 1st Blenheim laid out on the floor and the damage to the 2nd does not look a touch on that. Comparing the 2 wrecks visually this Blenheims damage is less than half the 1st ones damage. Again just my opinion.
I guessed 18 months based on the fact that ARCO don’t hang around with jobs.
As i also said it will be down to the money.
No, i don’t take camera’s any more.
Just got back from DX. The Blenheim was being transferred to Hanger 3, i don’t think the damage looks that bad. If there is to be a hold up, then i would say it’s money. Judging by ARCO’s previous record for getting things going again, if the moneys there i wouldn’t be surprised if they haven’t got it flying within 18 months.
I’m pretty sure ARC’s original plan for that nose was to make it interchangable with the MkIV nose and that the type of connections needed to connect and disconnect the noses were actually fitted during the original rebuild.
There are supposedly brand new wings being manufactured in New Zealand for Weeks’s Mossie.
