That was exactly what i was thinking. I remember seeing that Mk 1 nose when it arrived and looked like a car. I think it would be a great change to convert it to a Mk1.

Dan Griffiths told me at Coventry that he was hoping to fly the Mig 17 by the end of the year.

Yak 11, as you obviously recognised me i wish you had made yourself known to me as the bloke i thought was you wasn’t and i wasn’t sure of 2 other guys being you, sorry that may sound bad but i’m ****e at remembering faces i don’t see on a regular basis.
And yes to all i did see the immaculate Janie and thought she sounded rock solid, and i thought that the lovely Big Beautiful Doll sounded like she had a loose tool box rattling around inside the cowling.
Very disappointed overall with today, i feel that it is getting worse every year. It would have been nice to have had at least the Kennet doors open let alone just 2 hangers.
I think it would be better to put it back to the original time in september and give it a lot more advertisement.

    Totally dis-agree with you WarbirdUK.
Firstly the aircraft was on take off and if you watch the clip properly you will see MH434 lift off the ground and retract the gear.
Secondly, the pilot as we all know was Ray Hanna and he is without a doubt THE finest pilot the U.K. He has thousands of hours of low level flying to his credit and if ever you attend Flying Legends you will see most aeroplanes hugging the ground after take off, especially ones flown as well as OFMC’s.

I had done that and not heard from him. I was hoping someone here might know him and could help me.

That is one of the superb images taken, like the shot above, by John Rigby. I’ve been trying to contact him but as of yet i have not been able to find out how.
