Silence, in Polish!

Does anyone have video footage of the late great Ormond?
I have seen a couple of bits on various aviation videos but i would like to know if anyone has any full footage of him performing displays or interviews.
I know he flew his T33 down the full length of the Grand Canyon and had a girlfriend cine film it.Does anyone own this footage or has even seen it as i bet it would make spectacular viewing.
I would also like to obtain photo’s and if at all possible a set of the patches that were worn by the crew, a white knights helmet on the black flying suit and a black knights helmet on the white ground crews overalls.
Who has that one then?
I never had the chance of seeing the Lightning fly. I was going to go to the last show at Binbrook, but after the weather check decided against it. I don’t do that any more, if theres a show i want to go to then i’ll be there even if it’s 6 feet under snow.
Wensley took over after Ormond was killed as they were sold on as part of his estate. I was told that Doug bought his ones from Wensley.
I think you’ll find that Ormond Haydon-Baillie originally found those airframes. I know he definately found the Spitfires in India and was arranging for them to be brought to the U.K when he was unfortunately killed. If he had lived god knows what we would have had over here. If it wasn’t for him we wouldn’t have had the Blenheim. He also had a number of F-86’s ready to come over here too.
I think a damn good thrashing might be the order of the day.
I remeber Mark Hanna was wanting a hanger put where the old one was and even if he was to get finance for it the IWM would not allow it.
How many Typhoons are there? Hmmmmmmmmmm ONE.
And how many ’51’s are there? Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm OOPS just made a mess of myself.
You can never have enough beautifully coloured Mustangs. As for boring old green and brown/grey camauflaged things, well MH434 is all i need to see.
TF-51?
The live side is the other side of the railings, which if you follow them along will take you to a gate which on the ‘live’ side if the railings you will find HFL’s hanger.
I thought that Hunter was bought by someone at Spanhoe.
I think the CF-100 should have been polished bare metal with Canadian national markings on it. They went to all that trouble of stripping evey inch of it. I think they are just painting back in the same markings. It would probably be still flying if Ormond Haydon-Baillie was alive.
I ask Dave everytime i see him and his answer is ‘when it’s done’.
I was told they would love visitors but the reason they can’t is because the hanger is on the live side of the field.
As far as i’ve heard the La-9 was due to arrive at the docks last sunday and was due at DX early this week.
The Tf-51 is on it’s way and is supposed to be here in time for Legends.
TFC’s P-51D is being repainted in her original markings of the 78th FG. She was supposed to be painted as Twilight Tear but TFC were having a major problem getting hold of photo’s of the noseart and the left hand side. They had found out that the same pilot of Twilight Tear flew another &8th P-51 and were looking into that ones noseart as a temporary replacement.
As for looking iffy for legends, i don’t think so. If they can put together the P-51C and paint her in 2 weeks then i’m sure they’ll get P-51D painted in 6 weeks.
What i want to know is how much longer those Yak 3’s are going to take. I’m sure OFMC’s one was supposed to have been flying for this year, as i heard that the Corsair was going back to New Zealand with the P-40 and that the Yak 3 and La-9 were going to be their replacements.
