Begs the question, What Qantas going to do with Longreach?
She has to be preserved doesn’t she? and surely the founders museum should get a 767 as well. thoughts?
here you go, a little out of focus sorry

Hi People,
I would like to announce that we have some exciting news for the DH.104 Dove Preservation Group.
We have a new logo and I would like to thank our good friend Johnny Fernandez for donating a considerable amount of time designing It, as I think you will agree it is a striking looking logo.
The new logo represents the beginning of the next chapter for the DPG.
We are now officially registered as a not for profit organisation and have acquired two airframes for static restoration:
C/N: 04097, Manufactured in 1947 the aircraft was registered YI-ABK, TJ-ACA, D-100, G-ATGI & VH-ABM.
C/N: 04486, Manufactured in 1957 the aircraft was registered as PH-ION, G-ASMX, I-ALGO & VH-DHN.
Stay tuned for more restoration updates.
Regards,
Daniel Sherburn

looks fantastic Stephen, i was admiring it in the other thread.
early 90’s I will have a look through my Fathers log book and see if i can find the exact date. pretty sure it was taken at Mangalore Airport in central Victoria.
Photo of me with NJI in my passed life as aerodrome brat
Thanks Steve, seem silly doesnt it why dont they make the trains 1:72? any way I guess i will have to ignore the fact the aircraft are a “little big”. I am thinking “60’s” but not sure if i will end up being period authentic as long as it looks right as it will just be for me and my son and as he is like me he will probably want to run a TGV on it no matter what era it is! 1 consulation with going 1:72 I will have many
DH.104’s at the airstrip!
Ebay is showing the Mojave Dove N11XW as sold. Anyone know where it might be going?.
Also when at Mojave in 2009 N4916V was stored dismantled, another potential restoration project, is it still there?

I have not been in contact with the new owners of N11XW but I have asked FLight research inc to pass on my details to them, as for N4916V it was sold as part of the package with N11XW. not a bad deal for 12500USD if you ask me! I just could not afford shipping costs to Australia, otherwise they would have been mine!
Hi Tim,
A couple of the RNZAF Devons (NZ1805 & NZ1806) were sold off a couple of years ago and NZ1805 has been restored to flight this year with 06 retained as spares for 05, I beleive the others still are in storage at woodburn.
Not sure about Devonair but i have heard they might have moved.
have a look at our website for more photos
