bmi to antigua from MAN can be booked for 350 or so sometimes if you’re lucky, then LIAT or Caribean Star on to St Maarten for around 40 quid.
Reasonable size and selection on spirits, less so on cigarettes and tobacco, but does stock most major brands. Can be purchased on arrival and departure. Sandefjord is very expensive.

Not just being used to hold a slot now that JER has been reduced?
I tried to book a scenic flight with this company when I was up in Scotland over the summer and found that on many flights there would be a couple seats spare, but they were over the weight limites.
Its operated by a 50 seater ERJ 145 I think, so 35 isnt that bad a load really. I was on a BACON flight BHX to GVA on Sunday that just had 6 people on board.
The circuit airfield at Le Mans during the 24 hours has to be one of my favourites for its uniqueness.
Air Plus Comet used to do a once or twice weekly flight to JFK.
Excellent report LBARULES. Have to agree with you re Air Southwest and Bristol Airport; fantastic little regional airport and a top service from Air Southwest. Not tempted to try their route from LBA to Newquay LBARULES? I guess a day trip is possible with a return via Gatwick?
Thanks LBARULES.
What did you think of Air Southwest? I’m using them on weds from Bristol to Manchester. Thanks.
Eastern is the better onboard service, but it should be at 3 times the price! Eastern includes free refreshments (inc champagne), Flybe is buy onboard. Equipment wise, Flybe uses as a Q400, Eastern i’m guessing will be a Jetstream or Saab 2000, you may find the Jetsream a bit cramped.
Cheers, remember the crews having ba uniforms and stll ba equipment.
Duo when they were still part of BA, a truly excellent airline, such a pity that customers thought they were a loco in the Easyjet model and didnt give them the support.
Talking of bargains, xl are offering some very good upgrade prices on their summer long haul services. Barbados is another £50 or so for premium or another £150 for excelone which is their business class services eith a 45″ seat pitch (about £600 return on most dates).
AMS is the eaiest and cheapest for most people i’m guessing. Its an excellent airport with very good shopping and if you get an early flight, its easy enough to have a morning in the city, then spend the afternoon at the airport. Leiden is only 20 mins on the train and is a lovely little city.
