VLM to London City starts around 80 quid return.
Thanks for that. Just had another look and prices seem very reasonable, starting around 15 quid single.
Understood GA.
I think British Airways helicopters was sold off to become British International Helicopters, who are now owned by Canadian Helicopters.
I would question if posting whether or not a flight has flown (using BAA and IoM boards as a source) is a full steam attack. Nor is stating that Martin has made frequent appearances in the media.
Clearly Alpha1 is an issue on which opinion seems severely divided. I have offered my opinion and have tried to back it up with facts. Could a mod please advise if I overstepped fair comment?
Helisureste operate Malta to Gozo and also Malaga to the Spanish protectorate of Ceuta in Morocco. I used them for a trip to Ceuta in June. They mainly use Bell 412 helicopters, but also lease a Sikorsy S61 for times of high demand. Its a fantastic flight, takes about 30 minutes, interesting approach into Ceuta, the heliport is built out into the harbour, there’s some pics on Airliners.net There’s also a series of suprisingly good value scheduled services running in the Faroe Islands. Nice Airport also has scheduled services to Monaco, Cannes, St Tropez and Courcheval (during ski season). Copterline were operating Helsinki to Talinn but were in difficulties after a fatal accident a few months back.
It says on the homepage that Cardiff – IOM starts Jan 16th and a recorded message on their booking line says the same and the IOM Douglas airport website says the same. Surely reason to complain? Are they not flying Edinburgh at the moment…as it has shown canclled on the BAA arrivals and departures board for several days now.
Cheers, must just be bookings available from Feb 1st.
Do you all reckon its best to wait until Connect launches before booking flights? Was looking at Jersey for late Feb, but dont really want to book and then see the fair halve!
It sounds quite similar to the new-ish format for Aer Lingus in short haul, and that does seem pretty good.
It would certainly be nice to see good fares on destinations like Munich, Frankfurt etc.
Early flight into Manchester then onto AMS RIPConcorder?
Prices I think are still good with easyjet at the moment, I booked Amsterdam last week for the 17th Jan and got a day return for 35 quid.
bmi-star…take plenty of cash to torp, the airport and sanedfjord town centre are seriosuly expensive. Think its about 10 degrees below at the moment as well. There isnt a huge amount to do in the town and a taxi costs about 15 quid, so if you only have a few hours its probably not worth it.
Its not been bookable for some time on City Star’s website, the route was mainly targeted at oil and gas industry workers.
Its part of a series of new route announcements – Liverpool gets Krakow, Faro, Mahon and Marseillie. Details at:
