If I had tried this at 17, I still would have been on the bus. I probably wouldn’t have been conscious, but my ar*e would have been on the bus!

Considering that the majority of people who might go to an airshow or aviation museum wouldn’t know a Spitfire from a Harrier, whether or not the aircraft has a historically accurate propeller is a moot point. Even those of us who profess knowledge of these machines may be unaware of this fact.

    The Canadian view:

    Political Correctness:
A doctrine fostered by a delusional, illogical minority, and rabidly promoted by an unscrupulous mainstream media, which holds forth the proposition that it is entirely possible to pick up a turd by the clean end.

As someone who was born and raised on a farm, This whole ” chemtrail ” issue reeks of bull pizzle and horse hocky. I had an argument with this twit at work a while back on this subject. He had read something about chemtrails and was now an expert on the subject. He had noticed that there were more and more trails in the sky than a few years before. I had to tell him it was just water in the jet exhaust and the reason there were more of them in the sky was because our local airport was now an international not just a regional airport. Our local population has risen by about 40% in the last 15 years. to over 100k. Also there were at least 3 other small airfields that are big enough for a twin-jet Boeing or Airbus liner that have been built in the region, to handle all the fly-in/fly-out workers at the new oilsands plants. Someone else told him it was no good arguing with me on aviation as that was about all I knew anyway.

At least one Avenger was test fitted with a Martin 250 turret.

I do recall reading about Fiat R.A 1050 Tifone (license-built Daimler-Benz DB 605A-1) being found in a former Fiat building. It was restored and installed in a CASA HA-112-M1L Buchón back in the late 90’s. It flew the European circuit for a while then, I believe it went to a museum. If I had more time I could probably look it up in my magazine stash, but I’m just starting a six day/ 12 hour per day work period and will have little free time.

I was close. At least it’s a German engine.
