The order for the S-92 is older news and not related to the current series of anouncements but the CH-149 (EH-101)is an old design which has been something of a disapointment from a quality piont of view and more importantly has required much more routine maintenance than expected.

Who knows how the S-92 will turn out but it will probaly be a better fit on our current ships which is where they will be used. Good to see the money stay on this side in any event.

When the President of a country that has been and continues to be the main supporter of terror throughout the M-E and elsewhere, comments that Israel should be wiped off the map, we should pay attention. By the way, the issue is about nuclear weapons, not about nuclear energy. Direct offers have been made to Iran (and North Korea) about supporting peaceful programs. Nor is it about the NPT and who has signed and who has not. It’s about the best method of dealng with each individual nation that has them, regardless of how they got them.

There is a clip of a fully loaded SH doing a very similar routine so the fact that this one was done clean is of no relevance.

Arthur and Frank are of course not fans of the SH. They are more into the yet to be operational and always elusive Russian designs that never deploy but will someday(?) grace the decks of the decrepit hulks of the former USSR which are either currently being reworked 🙂 or tied to the wharf 😮
