The F-18C/D/E/F does a lot of actual warfighting for a failure, while superior designs win all the DACTs. :dev2:

Details about many of the scheduled enhancements to the F-18E/F are old news and have been well detailed going back to 2000 so what is all this hot air about another re-design?

I believe the U.S. should refund all the money advanced to the U.K.,Canada, Norway, Australia, etc and go it alone.

It would suprise me if any large weapons sales the U.S. makes to foreign governments make a profit. I suspect the reality is that only after the U.S. taxpayers pickup the developements tab and it is writen off, does the notion of profit arise. In the long run the U.S. will lose large on this deal and the more so because it is contracting out to the so-called partners. When you grant these contracts the technical and manufacturing knowledge goes with it and it never comes back.

Let prospective buyers judge the F-35 on it’s merits when the thing is ready and either buy or go elsewhere. Most of them will never commit them to a real war in any event. I do feel sorry for the British because having given away it’s ability to independently develop it’s own defence systems to others, it is now caught between a rock and a hard place.

If the situation was reversed would you be concerned?

Evidence that the senior management of the mental heath system also has bouts of mental illness or at the very least moments of poor judgement.

Ah, the poor old guy probably died of boredom waiting for the incompetents at the ICC to get on with the trial. Can you imagine if the ICC had been around and in charge of the Nuremberg trials? They would still be debating the punishment.

I think the Barbarian is on to something. The needs to be an investigation. 😉 Too many are dying in ICC cells. Can you imagine the uproar if they had died in an American military prison?

I wonder how much longer the two chief Serb criminals will remain at large. Must be a very effective coverup and system of payoffs at work keeping those guys free right under the authorities noses. I bet the ICC is hoping they die as well. Can you imagine the dog and pony show there will be, if they are caught?

    Ja says:

All interesting designes mate, none of which the USN would go for because they are too progresive for their traditional minds!

The question is, why would the USN fool around with mini-carriers? What practical purpose would they serve in the USN? Maybe the answer is none and that is why they are devoting their traditional minds to developing the progressive CVN 21.

India’s population is younger than China’s which means that it will be far more productive. India’s economy will overtake China’s. India is a democracy. China is a dictatorship run by old men. Put your money on India.

What is wrong with the EH-101?

Ask the CAF. In addition to technical problems and basic fit and finish, it is requiring much more downtime and routine maintenance than predicted.
