Who would have thought that campaign pictures of U.S. war dead and posters calling GWB a war criminal would figure in a German national election given the superior nature of German society and culture. I guess political gridlock and economic stagnation will be on the menu in Germany for sometime. 🙁

I am sorry but I can’t follow you. Overpopulation? Lack of resourses? Fine but what has that to do with this subject. I would be happy to take a critical look at Europe. the U.S. Canada, Mexico on any issue you choose but my coments were about Herr Schoeder exploiting U.S. war dead.

Oh you have noticed that have you? Do you believe it is bad form to be pro-American as apposed to being always anti-American? I have noticed you labour over that very issue sometimes.

What do you find inappropriate about ‘stuff like this”? If this was a post about an American offical making a remark about Herr Schroeder or Senior Fox, the anti-American BS would go one for days. A remark about “old Europe” a couple of years ago is a good example.

There are more than a few members here who are consistantly anti-American to the point of being ignorant if not firmly in the moonbat category. I am sure you have noticed. Have you ever asked them why? If not, why not? I, at least can claim to have challanged American members on occasion when they have made uninformed or silly comments about Canada or on other issues.

To answer your question, I don’t mind at all. I am a proud Canadian who has no wish to join the U.S. but I am certainly very happy about the fact that Canada and the U.S. share a 3000 mile boarder and are good friends and good neighbours.

Just noticed the reference to the Canberra. I guess you all know she was the RAN Canberra.

During the battle for Midway the USN lost one carrier, the USS Yorktown.

The Japanese lost all four carriers of the Midway strike force, comprising the Akagi, Hiryu, Kaga and Soryu.

I am appalled by degree and the extent of damage done by the storm. I am also saddened by the volume of the attacks on the Federal government and GWB by those at the state and municipal level (who obviously were and are in charge of disaster relief plans, their execution and therefore the successes and failures) and all the others who choose to say with absolute certainty that GWB is responsible.

The need to blame seems to be the priority of the press, the Democrats, the black racist industry, and the usual Hollywood moonbats. Unfortunately some of the foreign media, individuals and even governments are using this sad event as another opportunity to mock the U.S.

I can’t supply precise info on Canadian aid to the U.S. but while there may be a small team of urban rescue personnel from the city of Vancouver, I do not believe the RCMP is involved in any such door to door recon as you suggest. I guess the important point is that there is a small number of such personnel as well as Canadian Red Cross teams are on the ground doing what they can.

The 4 ship Canadian Naval formation is delayed at sea due to new Atlantic storms and it will probably be days yet before it can offer any significant aid. Again there are claims that two Canadian ships are held up because the U.S. hasn’t decided where they should go. Sounds like BS to me.

It disturbs me to say this but there are those Canadians who question whether we should offer aid because of trade disputes. On the other hand there are many more who are simply saddened and who are not interested in the politics of the blame game and are heartened to see that the casualties seem realitively few so far.

    Regards

Can you provide us with the specifics behind your claim that the shooting in NO were countless? No volence in Munbai because it wasn’t reported? A great opportunity to mock the U.S. and celebrate the suffering of others. You couldn’t resist.
