As usual just a lot of speculation – no facts or reliable sources about so called “stated” U.S. policy with everyone else characterized as little whooly lambs.

Lets face facts. In a time of war, every communication system being used by each side will be fair game regardless of who it belongs to and in spite of commercial links.

There have been a number of similar and worse events reported in Iran during the last year or so. Obviously the people behind this report are not fans of the Iranian government. That said, because this wasn’t a BBC report dosn’t make it incorrect.

He was a thug and an assassin. He caused nothing but pain and death in his life, most of all to the very people he professed to represent. A man totally incapable of getting beyond his hatred of Jews. A leader who was no leader. He walked away from the best chance for peace his people had in 50 years.

He carried a gun and talked tough but in the end he ran away to die in comfort. He swandered millions on terrorist acts and stole hundreds of millions more. He leaves almost no effective political structure or succession plan with which the new leadership can work.

Lets hope the death of Europe’s favourate terrorist leads to a positive change for all concerned.

I would imagine a good deal of cash was raised amoung Irish Americans and funneled by various means to the IRA. I would bet that an equal amount was raised in the pubs in the U.K. :dev2:

It didn’t take long to turn this into a debate about U.S. foreign policy which is too bad because the Ivory Coast issue is important.
