Good luck to all of them.

Question – is there no government funding in the British mission?

So I guess we all agree. The US is the only nation which is guilty of acting to protect it’s self interests and uses unfair political and economic tactics to try and force its products on the rest of the world. Oh the shame of it!

The current F-16 is vitually the same airframe with the same flying characteristics as the original. It’s the systems inside that have changed as everyone knows.

The point I was making is that, when it was first introduced, it set a new standard. 25+ years later it competes quite favourably with a new generation of designs that are only beginning to enter service in any quantity and which new custmers will wait years for.

The performance yardsticks haven’t moved all that much. Also consider that new build Vipers will also be just as able to incorporate future weapons systems just as easy as the newer designs.

I enjoy the books. I have only seen the first segment of the movie. Overall I enjoyed it and give it high marks. I have one negative. The action segments were somewhat disappointing. Many of them were very choppy which made them very hard to follow. Why go to the expense of creating such great costumes, weapons and background and laying out great action and personal combat sequences and then waste it all with so much choppy editing and in-your-face camera work? Move the camera back a little and let us see what is going on. Based on comment made here, this has improved and I look forward to seeing both shortly.

Funny how the fact that the F-16 in still reasonably competative and offers such a high degree of utility compared to the more recent designs, gets some folks all worked up.

I don’t see any reason to ridicule the continuation of the 767 in military reincarnations just because the commercial demand is nearing it’s end. There isn’t much commercial demand for the Comet or the Electra these days either.

I agreee that the 767 tanker will likey proceed once all the fuss dies down.

I believe Boing anounced today that the 7E7 will go from paper plane to production which is good. Dial 911 Boeing for all your aviation needs.

Please explain how pricing an EADS product ( or any other European product) in US dollars is a form of insurance against fluctuations in currency exchange rates. The cost of manufacturing in Europe cannot be avoided by simply pricing in US dollars and ignoring the relative currency values. Those costs are real and cannot be avoided. EADS pays it’s bills in Euros.

Ah! The beauty of floating exchange rates. Soon there will be LM lawn darts everywhere. Arthur will be happy.

How many times did he ape for the camera with a gun or a sword? At the end he was caught like a rat in a hole but instead of fighting like a ****-house rat he give up without a wimper. A total coward.:D

Good for the US and I for one don’t care how may times they say “God bless America!”:p
