As far as I know the Kilos still use lead acid battery… but battery technology have advanced vastly. The newer generation lith-ion battery have far greater capacity than the lead one. They already have commercial applications as they power buses and such but why haven’t they ended up on submarines? The Energy Density of lithium battery can be several times more than lead battery.

Aside from the (shrinking) cost factor I don’t see ant limitations why they woudn’t be a better replacement… Anyway if it is economical for a commercial bus why not a submarine?

Do you know what Fa lun gong has become? It is a group of people who earn a living by trashing the Chinese government. Frankly they oppose for the sake of opposing. If the chinese government reformed and instituted democracy, Fa lun gong will oppose that too.
