‘633 is shown running up in the current FP. I hope it hangs around awhile before going across the pond
Does anyone know what happened to Tom Blair’s ‘Dora?’-I seem to remember it taxying some time ago but hasn’t flown yet (afaik!)
It will indeed all be in The book … together with over 270 others.
Watch this space 🙂
For about how long??
But unfortunately that was the blue scheme. Time to get another silver Spit flying.
Too bad though. I guess one just have to pitch the idea to the owners of PL983.

… Wait for a PR-XI data plate to turn up!!
Elector seat invented Britain??-I always wonder how long they research these programmes for!!
Mosquito??- what Mosquito??
The B-29. I had Agorophobia for years and cured myself (not easy!) just so I could see ‘Fifi’ fly-when I got to Midland, she had a fuel leak!-but at least i saw her!!
Doesn’t he have an early ‘109 and Hurricane projects?
What about the poor tractor driver?-the pilot knew there was going to be an almighty bang!!!-I’m also wondering if I might’ve heard it-I lived about 3 miles away, but was only 9 months old!
I was surprised to learn that the B-32 Dominator made it into service. I only found out when looking on WIX. Someone was making a model of it
I can’t help thinking it’ll take a lot longer than 2 years to get her flying -but personally, I can’t wait!!
Re: Air Show, there is a clip on youtube (I think it must be from that show) of Alain de Caddenet (spelling?) almost getting his hair cut by a Spit!
I thought this might be of interest. There a small piece about this sale in the new issue of ‘Aircraft’, and someone from the Historic Aircraft Collection is quoted as saying that the aeroplane will most likely stay with them for this year (and they are taking airshow bookings for it) and that the sale is a “precursor to the arrival of our original Hawker Fury which is due to fly this summer”. Every cloud has a silver lining I suppose!
…And I was merely pointing out a news article about the sale, I am well aware that (most) of these historic aircraft are private property and the owners can do what they want with them!-indeed, (for what it’s worth- nothing!) I am well used to (and appreciate) the dynamic nature of the historic aircraft scene, after all, who would want to see the same aircraft at airshows over and over again with no changes?
Should we all stop discussing historic aircraft in this historic aircraft forum, then??
