I’m sure i read somewhere (possibly in an early flypast) that Mr H-B was collecting parts to rebuild a flyable de Havilland Hornet-He had just got the specific merlins when he died i believe
If i thought my comments could possibly do anyone harm i would not have posted them on here!-i have not mentioned his name at all and i just wanted comments from people with relevant experience to see if i was correct in my assumptions
It struck me as strange because i spoke to a real Victor at a show once and asked him about that flight and he told me that they could in supersonic anytime they liked-coz they had more power than the one that did it-but that they had to think of the airframe fatigue-i did think the hose reels might stop them too!
