    As I understand there are some good pubs there but as I don’t drink then I wouldn’t know book early as I believe it can get reasonably full according to sister in law a few Duxford staff use it as well so I’m told have a good weekend

    If someone genuinely does’nt know and asks a serious question in the right spirit then theres nothing stupid about it 🙁 it was only the response above that was stupid and rude as well 🙁
    This accident occurred a while ago and people from other countries and of a younger age group may not have had the same background knowledge that any of us that were there have.

    Not rude at all lets just leave it alone!!!!!

    I don’t think it’s a silly question at all. It’s now part of the history of the operators at Duxford airfield and whilst incredibly sad it’s an event that happened. The AAIB report doesn’t come to any clear conclusions – however
    we lost a fine pilot and an immaculate Lightning.

    To a lot of people it was and still is a stupid question so lets leave it here and now !!!!!!!
