If it hadn’t been for the Hurricanes and Spits we would have had no need for Mustangs. It only became an aircraft after they put a proper engine in it. They were only escorting lightweight bombers in any case, should have had the Mossy do the job instead.

Ah well chaps looks like Doughnut is an expert on Hurricanes now I agree the guys at TFC and other collections like OFMC etc just can’t do much right can they?

seems A L went to all that trouble to delete his thread and guess what as you said he still doesn’t know. what alet down for the Flypast Forum.
Also a little birdie has told me that the Sea fury at TfC is on the move, last time I saw it the engine bay was painted a horrible yellow colour surely that can’t be right, don’t know who the bloke responsible for the work is or I would ask him if I can get down to Duxford soon.

Pretty apt name, If I may pose a question to all the
“EXPERTS” who are knocking TFC who had enough on their plates I would think running 40plus A/C. Who I may add were trying to get the Hurri onto the flightline safely. What would you all have said if they had said Oh sod it lets just tow it out to the flightline and on the way out its’ gear had collapsed yes I thought as much.
Stop knocking the guys at TFC. I also heard in conversation that Fri and Sat night while most people were having their Horlicks and maybee a fumble with the missus the same guys you are knocking were still working on the Hurri. were also doing that most nights in the weeks leading up to Legends with the P51 etc.
but there I should have expected comments like this with all the
“EXPERTS ” around.:mad:

Mmmmm forgot about that M25 better than the Maginot line (spelt wrong probably) whoops most things are though
