Tonydyer “a Centaurus is boring compared to a Merlin” Get real will you!!!!!!!
Sorry GeeDee have to dissagree witj you on that Merlin is awesome but a Griffon and Centaurus sound somewhat better And when it is attached to a Sea Fury The Centaurus is just the dogs bits so to speak
All A/C are important to a degree some a/c more impotant to people than others my veiw is I can’t stand jets. But in my opinion we all too frequently praise the owners and pilots while forgetting the engineers and without them pilots would have nothing to fly would they?
KEV 35
Well said!!!!!!!!!!!!!
What a sad bitter person you are Aviation is for everyone not just for the likes of you don’t forget how are the engineers and pilots that put on airshows for people like you going to pass on the knowledge and expertise that I presume go into getting the aircraft you so love to watch to displays.
We must get young people intrested to carry on what I think looks like a very difficult task how people like TFC OFMC , BBMF etc do it I don’t know. But how can we get young ones involved when they see bitter people like you at airshows. If your oyks stay at home then please please stay at home with them
PS I forgot mR Lambert I thought you went to places like Duxford Airshows to see exactly that an Airshow if you want stalls then bugger off down North Weald market !!!!!!!!!!!
Dear Alexis,
Now let me see if I can get this right now I could be wrong but wern’t you once an ankle biter and just maybee you had afew cuddly toys, but by the sound of your bitter attitude I doubt it. I must add as well they are not your airshows but are there for all the public to enjoy so if airshow organisers want to try and make it more appealing for the public then bloody good show I say. So put your teddys back in your cot, take your head from up your a–e and get a life. sorry to other users but my kids and grand kids love going to airshows and long may they and other famlies continue to do so.
I had better get off now before I say things I might really regret you mr Lambert have really annoyed me by your bigoted comment
“Flypast and Aeroplane Have got it wrong”
Nothing new there then.
Pink Lady is due to appear at Legends. For the list as it stands go to the Fighter Collections web site
Alexis the ammount of A/C does make a hell of a difference so I am told at Duxford they have all those warbirds at Legends and only a certain No of slots to put them in. also if you parked them tail to the public then you would have to taxi out towards the grass strip which would be quite intresting to say the least if they were taking off or landing, so I’m afraid your stuck with nose on I suppose. With the work load I would imagine at legends it’s park them for an airshow not a Flypast photo shoot.
Alexis, Don’t you think the way the A/C are parked would be down to the way the wind was blowing not down to the way we would like them parked?
Alexis, Don’t you think the way the A/C are parked will be down to which way the wind is blowing, not down to the way we would like them parked?
Agreed Steve,
George Aired had a neat trick so I’m told as he said that all you coul really do in a display was wing overs and fly byes’ so he apparently used to at the start of a pull up he would throttle back one engine and the resulting crackle and pop would liven the crowd up and make them sit up and notice, but as you said it had some glorious lines to her.
Steve, I agree about your comment about speculation, and I agree it would be nice to see a mossy fly again as it was a beautiful sight!!!:)
Steve, not bad, is he running his steam train this year?
