I doubt anyone can say when it’s due to fly at the moment. I suspect that even if the guys at TFC have an idea of when it will fly, they wouldn’t tell anyone (I know I never tell anyone when I’m going to finish a project ;))

And you were as well what did we have then P40, Mk9, P51 Moose and Bearcat only the Bearcat has been there longer than us Pete eh? the others have gone But we have a great bunch of talented less older engineers so to speak coming in so don’t worry chaps our a/c are and will be in good hands for a long time yet. But Beau is nearer his slippers, pipe and rocking chair than me. 🙂 🙂 🙂 🙂

And don’t forget we have an airshow to plan and run on top of all this ie any tech problems the visiting display aircraft may have we in general have to sort out I might add that we do sort out some problems with the visiting aircraft on the south side. Until this year we also marshalled all the south side a/c and run the passengers and crews back and forth and all that while doing what Beaufighter has said we do.

That’s funny, but years ago there used to be an old man that lived in his own personal ‘campsite’ that was located within the trees & bushes that was next to a lay-by on the southbound side in Quendon near Rickling Green.
I would see him virtually every day walking either to or from Stortford pushing a pram with a little doggy in it!

Were the TT20 imported by Doug Arnold Dual control as well or did the Germans change this for the target towing function??

If memory serves me right the Sea fury that WOGB had was an FB11 and was ferried back stateside by Mike Wright ie it was a single seater not dual controlled in any way shape or form

as you know probably a few more like him as well, jeeees he’s still damm ugly though deserves to get banned but as you said people here should be welcoming people like him not banning him as there are people like him that do know and people on here that think they do.

Should the container be made airworthy by Legends, what kind of Horsepower do you need to get a 40ft steel container airborne from Duxford’s runway?
