Robbo the safe bit we can do not so sure about the second part though 🙂 🙂 🙂
I doubt anyone can say when it’s due to fly at the moment. I suspect that even if the guys at TFC have an idea of when it will fly, they wouldn’t tell anyone (I know I never tell anyone when I’m going to finish a project ;))
IT WILL FLY WHEN IT’S BLOODY WELL FINISHED end of
Lots of Gannets and varsitys in a low level tailchase.
Oops someone elses fantasy there eh C6??
I reckon 48 P-47s taking off 8 at a time like the 78th did from Duxford, then beating the place up after a group pass.
Good thread Fritz.
BWB get real what the hell do you want all that trash hauling American junk for would sound like a bunch of screwed up out of sink washing machines full of broken spanners, now there satis,
So was Harold!
And you were as well what did we have then P40, Mk9, P51 Moose and Bearcat only the Bearcat has been there longer than us Pete eh? the others have gone But we have a great bunch of talented less older engineers so to speak coming in so don’t worry chaps our a/c are and will be in good hands for a long time yet. But Beau is nearer his slippers, pipe and rocking chair than me. 🙂 🙂 🙂 🙂
And don’t forget we have an airshow to plan and run on top of all this ie any tech problems the visiting display aircraft may have we in general have to sort out I might add that we do sort out some problems with the visiting aircraft on the south side. Until this year we also marshalled all the south side a/c and run the passengers and crews back and forth and all that while doing what Beaufighter has said we do.
Glad you enjoyed the show
That’s funny, but years ago there used to be an old man that lived in his own personal ‘campsite’ that was located within the trees & bushes that was next to a lay-by on the southbound side in Quendon near Rickling Green.
I would see him virtually every day walking either to or from Stortford pushing a pram with a little doggy in it!Bomberboy
And would you believe his brother is a millionair but he refuses ant kind of help appart from what the villagers give him.

Having watched the engineers still working on the p47 at 20:00 hrs and knowing what time they and others will be starting tomorrow a bit more of a “well done” and a little less of a “wouldn’t that be nice” or “I would do it this way” might be order of the day.
Hope th e sun shines tomorrow.[/QUOTE]

Daft Question…
Were the TT20 imported by Doug Arnold Dual control as well or did the Germans change this for the target towing function??
Cliff
If memory serves me right the Sea fury that WOGB had was an FB11 and was ferried back stateside by Mike Wright ie it was a single seater not dual controlled in any way shape or form

Andy in Beds,
as you know probably a few more like him as well, jeeees he’s still damm ugly though deserves to get banned but as you said people here should be welcoming people like him not banning him as there are people like him that do know and people on here that think they do.
I bet I am not alone in reading these arguement threads for their amusement value.
It sure as hell beats telling young people they are dying. 🙁
Perspective people.

Should the container be made airworthy by Legends, what kind of Horsepower do you need to get a 40ft steel container airborne from Duxford’s runway?
Steve
With the amount of hot air on here not much
