If 1 in 3 voted for it, then that makes 2 in 3 did’nt vote for it. By my calculations that means a majority are against it! Or have things changed since I did GCE O level maths last centuary.
Or is this just another free publicity spoof like the toilet charges. 😀 or is it going to be a fait accompli, and they can justify doing it, because they said some passengers had actually asked for it, albeit that it was a minority. I’d better start replacing mars bars with apples in my diet. 😉

    Jet2 to Croatia

The flights refer to holidays to Croatia using Jet2. They are doing them already!
You fly to Venice on Jet2 and coach over the Croatian border into the Istrian Peninsula, so no need to get excited about flights to Pula. They won’t be happening just yet.

Their Tu154s were regular weekly visitors to Doncaster right up until October too.

I would’nt worry about his comments LBARules, the person in question appears to be extremely fickle as regards airlines being in or out of favour!

and we all know that TOM don’t continue with routes where they don’t make money.

They do when someone underwrites the costs of these flights to ensure they are not an embarrassing failure. Would’nt have looked good for Peel if these flights terminated early or after their first year. Noticed that some long haul flights were on sale in the high season on some occasions at less than £50. They were even on offer at £12.99! (plus tax and fuel surcharge of course). The two remaining flights for next year appear to be starting later towards the end of May, also. which means the early take up was probably low in yield this year.

The aircraft was just parked up overnight. As it did the night before.

Don’t forget TUI still offer Faro next year on Thursdays on a shared MyTravel flight, and Las Palmas likewise on a Saturday. This year operated by AEU. The TUI Dalaman flight this year appears to have been taken over by Airtours/MyTravel/Manos/Panorama/Style for next summer, and will be operated by PGT 737-800.

Noticed that Panorama Holidays are still offering Sharm el Sheik as a destination from HUY. A bit naughty if they know already that the flights are non-existent. But expected really ,as tour operators get away with it time and time again. Book them from one place, then tranfer them to MAN.

Like all loco airlines, Jet2 and the rest do not have a general enquiries e mail address. Mainly because they would have to employ someone 24/7 just to answer countless questions as you have asked, and possibly by people who have no actual intention of flying with them. It’s just not cost effective.!
Most websites have a FAQ section where passengers can get the info they require regarding check in times, baggage, rules and regs, passport/ID requirements, airport info etc.

The Murcia and the Palma are to be done by a Murcia based aircraft so that might preclude an aircraft being based at NCL, but they will still need another for the other extra flights.

Ah looks like my guess was a good one!

Wrong, the LGW based 737-300 GSTRJ was covering the FlyBe contract at BHX, as their 737 (GSTRI I believe) was on scheduled maintenance. So we had the FCA A320 on a sub charter at LBA.

    LBA – Taba-Egypt by Astraeus

So that’s another new route been operated by the LBA based aircraft and Crews. They just can’t get enough of new exciting destinations by Astraeus at LBA.

Is it a first? Egypt available from the Yorkshire region??? Because I know that Thomsonfly’s flights to Egypt from DSA got cancelled for this winter

It will be a first. The TUI DSA flights for this summer were cancelled, but they are trying again with flights to Sharm from 6/11, one month after the LBA flights start.

    Suppose that’ll be with a 735?

Think you mean a 737-700 really. Yes it is.
A much needed destination to be added to LBA. Hope it gets extended eventually if it is a success, which I don’t doubt it will be.

Give the lad a break. He’s obviously a young lad wanting to find out more about what’s happening at his local airport.

There are many LBA related threads on this forum, and another one he subscribes to. He just needs to read and look around a little, before making sweeping statements or asking questions which the answers are quite plainly there staring him in the eyes.
