It is 3-3-3, well it was in August …. but it wasnt as camped as I thoght it would be … in fact I thought it was less cramped then their 767 G-SJMC at 2-4-2 which we flew two weeks earlier.
While we’re on the topic are MYT upgrading their long haul cabin or have I just imagined it?
It was £150 each and Ithink under 16′ got a £15 discount ….. hmm I only just missed out:(
There was one on the 14th of Jan as well, from what I understand due to the demand we were meant tobe going on a A320 but MYT upgraded to a A321 as it was really popular.
To me the programme seemed like an advert for robin hood airport and a few unrealistic people making it seem that aviation is all to blame!
in fact. I don’t believe in global warming – the planet goes through natural warming up and cooling down cycles, and we happen to be heading for one of the warming up cycles
exactly what I think, ok im not an expert at all but I think it is well know that the earth goes through hot and cold times. How did the planet get out of the last ice age? by some cavemen buring wood, creating co2 emissions, warming the earth up and melting all the ice? yeh right!…… it is obvious that everything that is happening is natural
Global warming is a load of rubbish exagerated by politicians and tree hugers to scam an extra few quid out of the average traveller! People like this need to put it into reality, think how many flights there are a day quite simply thousands. Surely if all this carbon ofsetting stuff was true then the world would be over by now…….. just yet another way for some boffin to be earning a bomb. £3 per flight or whatever it is, like heck all of that is going towards a tree, more likley to line the pocket of the person who’s idea it was to create the stupid thing!
thanks guys,
does anybody know why the TOM B738 was parked up all day yesterday and why todays LBA-TFS is very badly delayed?
cheers
a family friend was going MAN – LHR – HKG today ….. they were delayed on the way due to a suicide attempt on the M62, missed their flight to LHR (which was cancelled anyway) but amazingly got on the next flight out and are now waiting at LHR for info on their flight to HKG
I feel sorry for any other people in this suitation as surely there must be a lot of people getting cancelled day after day as this weather continues
I was LBA yesterday meeting my mum from the 13.10 ryanair from DUB, I arrived at 12.30 and we left at about 15.00 and it was amazing that at 12.30 – 13.30 it was near impossible to see the terminal from multiflight but then after it cleared for about an hour then within fifteen minutes you couldnt even see landing aircraft from inside the terminal.
I also noticed that yesterday and today that all the Jet2 flights are getting in on whereas everything else is delayed or cancelled, how come the 737’s can get in but nothing else?
yeh and one of the 3 was a B777 when the aircft in question are 767’s but I guess they just wanted BA pics
press release from BA
British Airways has been advised that three of its Boeing 767 short haul aircraft have been identified by the UK government as part of the investigation into the death of Alexander Litvinenko.
The airline was contacted last night (Tuesday, November 28) by the government. It has taken the three B767s out of service to enable forensic examination to be carried out.
The initial results of the forensic tests, which was confirmed late this afternoon, has shown very low traces of a radioactive substance onboard two of the three aircraft.
British Airways has been advised that this investigation is confined solely to these three B767 aircraft, which will remain out of service until further notice.
British Airways understands that from advice it has been given that the risk to public health is low.
The airline is in the process of making contact with customers who have travelled on flights operated by these aircraft, which operate within Europe.
The airline has published the flights affected on its website, http://www.ba.com, and customers on these flights who wish to receive further advice are advised to telephone NHS Direct on 0845 4647. Only customers who have travelled on these specific flights are asked to telephone NHS Direct.
British Airways has set up a special helpline for customers and staff on 0845 6040171 or 0191 211 3690 for international calls.

I just got back from my week TFS Trip, very nice good crew but Very tiring!
nice to hear it was good!
Thanks guys! I forgot to add that both flights were jam packed full …. great stuff!
few more photos
wow I thought I had escaped from physics until September!
Well thanks for answering my question bout the radiation ….. learn something new everyday!
I hope it is a 767 🙂
cheers for the help …. just glad to see how MYT have really changed since I flew them in 2003 … combined delays of over 15 hours and a divert!
I must have done the same exam as you:). Yep, as A330-300 says, but the dose of background radiation is only a tiny bit higher at 30000ft than on the ground, so little harm is likely to occur but I suppose it is a good example for an exam board to use.
erm Friday 16th June?
Cheers for that! Might be a bit of a stupid question bout approx how many times would a BA/AA/VS etc pilot cross the atlantic a week?
