Wan: Mate, good point, but over time the 40/60 Bofors that manned these craft became less effective so many countries changed them to two 20mm guns in seperate pits (I know our ones did and with that list you provided I’m going to have a scan through and see if I can find our ones), this was also complimented with a twin mounting on the rear which in most pics you can’t see.

Love the old Foxies, my time on one was filled with many fond memories.

So what is the last one in this series???? I’ll give you a clue, there are some still left in service around the world, mainly in the poorer countries, though they used to be everywhere mainly as war surplus.

The Karel Doorman (R-81)
She was started as a Majestic Class carrier during the war but was finished after WWII. The Dutch bought her and had her for some time then sold her to the Argentinians who named her 25th of May (Vientencinco de Mayo).

The Dutch had a proud fleet once, just wanted to remimd everyone of that fact.
