[updated:LAST EDITED ON 13-02-02 AT 09:34 PM (GMT)]1. I’m not trying to set up a major airline, just a “Hopper” service between major town centers in regional areas of my state! The question of having the experience to run such a venture, well the government who is helping me get this running seem to think I do! They’ve looked at my resume and all my past experience and determined that I seem to have the ability to follow through on this 🙂
2. Why ask people here, simple, cause what I think about an aircraft is all well and good, but people already in the industry and alot closer to the source, might have a different oppinion or think in ways that I haven’t thought of. Thus by asking people here, I avoid salesman tactics and government burocrasies, whilest still expanding my own awareness of products available! Too simply say that since the DHC-6 is used in the same role and has the capabilities that I require, isn’t really informing me about what else is out there that can do the same job now is it?
3. Specs- As I said above the Twin Otter can do all the things I need, but I need a minimum of 19 seat and able to land in around 820 meters and take off in around 610 meters and be able to use grass strips dur to narrow nature of most of the airfiels I am looking at using! So the Raytheon/Beach 1900D is right out 🙁
Oh and thanks for the appology, at first it seemed that you just had sour grapes! But I personally think that consultants are a bad thing and that if a boss can’t interview people one on one, especially in a small business, well then that company is doomed from the get go! That’s just how I feel, I mean no offence by it! But in our society today, we’re always trying to find someone else to do the job for us and that way if they stuff up, it’s their head that rolls! A person needs to stand up for all that they are responcible, we’ve let the concept of CYA take us for a ride for too long now!
