Very sad to hear of his death – he always came across as a really funny and interesting guy on his TV appearances.
Wasn’t he the one who got hung up during the drop from the embassy roof?
Condolences to his friends and family…

Well if we are going to be picky time travel is not possible anyhow.
To time travel requires exceeding the speed of light and as the speed of light is a constant, exceeding it is not possible and therefore neither is time travel.

One aspect of the speed of light has always fascinated me – that it is independant of the relative speed of the observer.
If you shone a torch into space, and manned a rocket which could travel at the speed of light, common sense tells us that we would go along at the same speed as the torch beam, and perhaps witness the end of the beam as it propogates through space.
But no – Einstein said that the light beam would still go past the rocket at the speed of light! Something funny going on there, I think…

There must be loads of undiscovered species in the vastness of the oceans – it’s only recently that scientists managed to film a living giant squid.
And when it comes to Nessie, I’m a sceptic on dry land, but any time I’ve scuba-dived in Loch Ness it’s a different story!
As for Bigfoot, the Minnesota Iceman story has an eerie ring of truth about it.
But that video to me looks like the same phenomena as observed in Loch Ness, when two different wakes interfere with one another, causing a moving series of waves…

I would like to see occasions where the HRA could be suspended for an individual, for example after they have been convicted of particular crimes.
Then they could do hard labour in prison, instead of watching TV and doing drugs…

There have been some fairly well studied and documented cases of reincarnation.
Actor Glenn Ford visited a grave in a cathedral in my home town of Elgin, Moray. He was absolutely convinced he was a music teacher named Charles Stuart, who died in Elgin in 1840.
Under hypnosis he recalled another life as a French cavalryman, in the reign of Louis XIV. Ford only knew a few basic phrases in French, but under regression, the UCLA discovered he was speaking fluently in a 17th century Parisian dialect…

Aren’t some quantum physics gurus now telling us that we’re just a 3D projection from the outer limits of the universe anyway?

Al, that’s an amazing comparison between the two photos! From being so busy to so desolate….

I was up at the Highland Aircraft museum recently at Inverness Airport, and they had a picture of another (now former) airfield at Brackla (Nairn area) to see it packed of Halifaxes for scrapping – the photo shows about 130 of them – now nothing is left of Brackla apart from the odd building and bits of peri-track….

    Kind Regards,
    Scotty

Comparing old and new photos fascinates me – here’s a Brackla then and now…
