I’m with you on this one, but it doesn’t seem to work very well for the USA, does it?
The “management” of the UK are only interested in maintaining the status quo of ensuring the rich get richer and the poor get poorer.
The are not interested in the man in the street at all.
As long as the public schools and class system is maintained nothing will change.
If this country is to stand any chance may I recommend the following
AA/ An end to the royal family replaced by an elected president.
BB/ A proper election system – an end to first past the post.
CC/ A proper elected second chamber.
DD/ A written bill of rights.
EE/ A written constitution.
FF/ A society based on opportunity and ability not what public school you went to.
GG/ Elected police chiefs and associated personel who are responsible to the local people.
HH/ Return the gas, water, electricity and transport systems to public ownership.
With a possible economic melt down just around the corner, get used to this, stock up on tined food, fuel and buy as much gold as you can.
You might think am barking……but I can smell some very interesting coffee.
Oh and finally, as someone once said to me ” If you always do what you always did then you will always get what you always got” . People if we things to change, we have to start doing things differently.
…………..stands well back………
The Lancaster missed the Battle of Britain by two months!;)
Back to surnames – Jangelis, Jangells, or Jangeli’s, and Tangelis, Tangells, or Tangeli’s…
Can’t see an ‘e’ at the end, but then again ‘Tangerin’ is Tangerine in Danish!
If only they would put so much effort into looking for a job.
Can’t stand ‘The Sun’, but their photographer got some very interesting shots…

Had a go using different filters…
Both ‘Jangeus’ and ‘Angeus’ are both surnames – maybe German or Dutch? The style of the ‘J’ does look very Germanic…
Thanks!
I’d thought the tubular structure was the remains of a hanger, but it does turn out to be the skeleton of a Me323D which was burned out at El Aouiana, Tunis. That led me to the same FW190, seen here in May 1943 there…
Thanks anyway Tony – looks like you’ve drawn the same blank as me. I’d seen your friend’s rendering of the aircraft, too!
A while back I was amazed at this vid, where the 3D printer can actually produce working articulated parts, like the sliding mechanism on this adjustable spanner….

Didn’t Kelly Johnson design the P-38 wing, and the glider-like U2’s wing?
Not the first time StH has got things wrong (319 was for ailerons,) and Spitfire mods had a different series of numbers from Seafires. Seafire 697 was “To introduce a slotted type cap for oil filter door.”
Edgar
That’s a disappointment – it’s a huge volume of information, which apparently now can’t be trusted. Oh well…
Having the same numbers for different mods on essentially the same aircraft must have been confusing for the erks!
I have to laugh at the ‘greenies’.
Everything is lovely in their little world – they fastidiously separate their trash into different bins for recycling, and drive their little electric cars around, knowing they are saving the planet.
In my locale, the market fell out of the recycling business, so the council just put everything surreptitiously into landfill, even though folk had separated it out very carefully. I’ll bet that happens a lot all over the country.
Electric cars generate more carbon emissions during their production than conventional cars, and the elecricity they depend on is still mainly produced by burning coal in power stations.
Meanwhile the emerging nations are furiously pumping out all sorts of emissions…

You mean ailerons?
According to ‘Spitfire – the history’ by Morgan and Shacklady, mod 319 was for Spit I elevators on 20.11.40…
