Overshoots at Lossiemouth October 1975…

I can ask the owner, but judging by the serials/codes noted at Luqa in Feb/Apr 1970 on this website, I’d say that’s a strong guess…

Here it is on a modern Google map…
Sounds very much like the fire dump at RAF Kinloss, which is up a small track from the Roseisle-Kinloss road, with a forest on the left, and fields on the right. The dump is on RAF property, so visiting was always risky – but if you had been there around 1969-1973, you’d probably have bumped into me, dodging the various RAF Landrovers…

Probably not seen too often – XM573 at Luqa with HMS Hermes aircraft ashore. Fortunately XM573 is still around at the SAC museum…
and official RAF Kinloss photos of XH558 being resprayed…

Fascinating – the very best of luck with your searches…
This is from the front page of our weekly ‘Northern Scot’ newspaper…

There have been lots of different permutations of radial-powered motorcycles. Roasted nuts anyone?

Just a rough two-minute job…
OK, so factual RAF history is to be changed so as not to offend US audiences.
Why not just change the title to ‘Those Goddamn Busters’, and use B-17s led by Samuel L. Jackson, who incidentally owns a stupid damn Westie?
Just what history needs – extra helpings of Political Correctness and lashings of CGI.
I hope the new movie bombs…
Can’t guarantee the serials I wrote on the back of these photos at the time…
