I have compiled 205 pages of the book of condolences, one posting per page. I must admit it is a real eye opener reading through the various messages and thoughts, it really sums up what a character Steve was/is.

I will print off on good quality paper, have bound and forward to his family as soon as possible.

Some of you have signed off your messages with just your forum handle, if you would like me to include your name and maybe location please let me know.

Here are a few from Legends Sunday, funny how at the time Mark and I debated whether we should go up with Steve or take a rain check and go onto Legends. We made the right choice, how did we know then that we wouldn’t get to repeat the trip next year.

Weren’t there some pictures of him flying a group of forumites posted.

If memory serves he looked pretty happy doing what he enjoyed so much.

At first I thought the one bottom left was Watton, but I don’t think it is now. It does look familiar though.

Alconbury was one of them, but in which order it came is beyond me, we were travelling that fast

I always think there is something incredibly pleasing on the eye about airfields taken from the air…the layout of the place…but then I am also so sad that I spot squadron codes in vehicle number plates…someone please tell me I am not the only person who does this…

I see J609 most mornings on my way to work attached to a 206 convertable, driven by a blonde, and think of Snapper, it’s sad I know, why would a blonde make me think of Snapper ?????????
