Flood as the town’s Mayor !!!
Anna ๐ฎ as the bird ๐ on the ๐ waterskies ๐
Where has the time gone.
24 years ago today John Lennon was murdered.
I wonder what he would have made of the world in 2004 ?
That’s assuming that he would have lived this long anyhow !!!!
As general as possible, um yes – in the immortal words of Brig. Gen. Anthony C. McAuliffe, the besieged commander of the 101st Airborne Division at Bastogne, Christmas 1944, โNuts!โ
The idea of building a Whirlwind from parts was raised sometime ago by someone on WIX, it died a death I believe. At that time they intended to have it completed in under 4 years if I remember right.
I’m sure many of you saw Bomber Pilot on Monday night, they were using a version of this game as training for the bomb aimer. A moving map, dart and a bombsight.
Mind you they “bombed” Portsmouth and not Germany, probably for inverted PC reasons.
Do you really, want to know ๐ well The first aero-diesel engine, dates back to 1928, it was a Packard 225 hp nine cylinder four Stroke. With technology the way it is today, it makes sense ๐ Fuel costs reduced by approx 77%, other advantages are single power-lever operation,no loss of power upto the 3,650m and Full Authority Digital Engine Control. This is of course on the TAE 125. ๐ Anna ๐ ๐ ๐
But that doesn’t answer why you are so interested, do you have a need for a diesel aero engine ?????
Very predictable, Ian. You’ve saved me the trouble.
So you know this chap do you ?????
Well, speaking for myself, I am getting over a nasty bout of flu (or something similar involving lots of snot, bunged up sinuses, headaches, bodyaches, sore throat, itchy ankles, hacking coughs, etc. Flood
Can you cover your mouth while posting please to prevent the spread of germs, or better still wear a surgical mask. Oh you are already and I thought that was your normal face. ๐
I never wore the shell suit bought for me one Christmas.
Never been into fashion, anyone who knows me would be able to vouch to that, however a certain forum member from the Croydon area is considered to be a fashion icon when it comes to the wearing of shorts.
Don’t you mean RESENT?
No !!!
Ok MOTF and Steve
Here are mine.1) People who delude themselves (and tell me) that they go to work for something other than the money.
2) Management speak.
3) Old people who want everything to be slanted in their favour and say things like ‘I fought a war for you lot’. (my own father is a WW2 vet and nothing like that).
4) People who go all dreamy about how wonderful WW2 must have been.
(it wasn’t–I learned that from dad).
5) People who like committees and sitting on them–invariably they’re w*nkers.
6) People who are jealous of other peoples success and hard work. Don’t waste your f*cking time–get on and do better yourself.
7) Moaning Bleeders generally.
8) People who tell me I should be ashamed because I’m a white, Anglo Saxon, Protestant, Male.
9) TV presenters and media people–also include reporters (bunch of reptiles).
10) The English Winter.
Well there’s ten to start off with.
Andy
I’d like to address Andy In Beds gripes.
1) I go to work for money to pay the mortgage, but I have been offered more and have declined because I like the area I work in. So money is not the only reason
2) I agree, I hate people who refer to management interfacing or we must network at somepoint. Eh ????? Speak English you cretins
3) Things should be slanted towards the elderly, at somepoint in your life you will appreciate it, why should they survive on less then somebody who’s just arrived in the country hanging from the underside of a Eurostar ?
4) But it was our finest hour !!!!
5) Camels are horses designed by committee
6) I have and I’m proud.
7) You can’t beat a good moan, that’s what the GD forum is all about isn’t it ?
8) You should be, now, if you were, white, male and Norman then you would have no need to be ashamed.
9) First against the wall, come the revolution
10) Could be worse, could be Norway or Sweden.
Ten gripes from me.
1) Text talk
2) People who sign off emails with enjoy.
3) Back biting and bitching.
4) People who talk over you to get their opinions across.
5) People who still argue the toss, even though they have been proved wrong.
6) Anchovies
7) Having the goals posts constantly moved
8) Lack of communication
9) those who take themselves so seriously, they loose all sense of humour.
10) Pretentious ********s who claim that the general public doesnโt understand art, how can an unmade bed or a bag of rubbish even be considered to be art?
course the arch criminal EN830.
I resemble this remark, the accusations were unfounded and never proven in court.
Trains  D199 ๐ thats on Thomas The Tank Engine. I want to talk Aero-Diesels ๐ Liquid-cooled, turbocgarged four-cylinder in-line engine adapted from an existing car motor, thats very cost affective, unlike trains ๐ ๐ Anna ๐ ๐ ๐ :diablo:
This prompts me to ask why you’re so interested ?
I can’t see the problem myself, how many of you have played (or do play) combat sim games, or MOH, or even let your children do the same.
These are a bit more gratuitous then a map and a dart board.
We could always substitute a map of Wales (are you out there, Hairless Joe?)
I’m in Guernsey at the moment, I could easily substitute this island for Berlin, “yawn” !!!!
