I believe that the HF MkVI were operated with pressurised cockpits to counter the high-flying JU86 reconnaissance aircraft. I recall that it was fitted with an uprated supercharger (1415 hp) driving a four bladed prop, the cockpit canopy was actually bolted into place and that the wing span was extended.

The first 21 MkXIX were unpressurised, the remainder were.

I have a picture of two French Air Force Mirage 2000’s in fromation with HAC’s Spitifre BM597. If you look closely you can see that the FAF aircraft have slots, slats, flaps, flip flops “and anything else you can suggest” down to keep themselves in the air and maintain formation with the Spit. If I remember right they seemed to wallowing a bit as well.

May be while you are compiling your brochure you may like to supply some up to date photo’s to the organisers of the Jersey International Air Display, for successive years they have used a photo of HAC’s Spitfire Vb BM597 and attribute it to the BBMF.
