I bet it can be done !!!!
By the way, the Aircraft in the BoB sequence in harbour had Eagle Sqn motifs on the side of the aircraft, is this authentic for that period?
Not sure if the Spit’s would have had “American Eagle Squadron” scrawled down the side in 1941, however the Hurricane featured was HAC’s MkXlla which previously wore 71 Sqn markings and retained them for filming.
And as for this The Few film, the first glaring inaccuracy is casting Cruise…..
Billy Fiske was 29 when killed in 1941, Cruise is 42 now……..
It goes downhill from there on……… 😉
Have they started filming this epic?
Does anyone know where they will be/are filming and whose aircraft will be used?
And before anyone points it out, P51’s were used by the Luftwaffe in the Battle of Britain
But that would mean it would still be dark at 9am, so there’s no gain.
Yup
Depends what your present wife drives, possibly!

Do you think there will be any problem getting the Hurricane fabric signed by the veterans and Muriel Pavlow without incurring costs?
Well I have a Porsche, Chrysler Voyager and a 1992 Sierra 4×4, my sex drive is totally confused, do I have to multiply by one car and subtract the third to get my ratio ?
Not huffy, just defensive
Yeah, but these topics are beyond wide ranging, don’t you think?
No these topics are in general good humoured and help to while away the time.
Every threads doesn’t have to be serious or factual, and as has been said before if you doen’t like the subject don’t read it, it’s as simple as that.
A discussion forum?
Flood.
No a Banal
Doesn’t Manchester have one of those?
This one should be renamed ‘random discussion forum’. 🙂
Really don’t see your point, so I thought I’d give you a few definitions of “GENERAL”
Universal
All Purpose
Wide Ranging
Broad
Common
Broad Spectrum
So you see “GENERAL” covers everything that is discussed on this forum, or are you just looking for an argument?
Not sure of the exact dates but from the various books on the subject I can fiind the following.
Bomber Command squadrons continued to use the Lancasters until 1953 and other RAF Lancs continued to serve until 1964 undertaking a variety of non-combat roles such as photographic reconnaissance duties in Africa.
Uni? Yeah – Broadmoor! Was in the cell two up from yours for a couple of weeks. Then you got the governors eye…
