There’s a difference between isolation and being dictated to.
If we’re hated so much in Europe, why would we want to be a part of it?
These countries that apparently hate us would do well to remember the sacrifices we’ve made for their liberty, which is slowly but surely being taken from them.
Why should Brussels and Germany be allowed to decide how we spend our money?

I suspect this may be a ‘Trojan horse’
Still haven’t seen any evidence of rules that would affect our competitiveness. I guess there aren’t any.
I haven’t seen any evidence to show we’d be any worse off without Europe 😉
IMO our greatest ties (political, economical, ideological) should be with commonwealth countries. Our history with Europe shows how fundamentally different we are from the other major European players.

Absoloutely. I’m nicely suprised Cameron veto’d in all honesty, I would have expected him to fold under pressure from the LibDems and the other Euro countries.

As above, at least no one was hurt.
He looks to have done a good job saving the aircraft too 🙂
Unlikely I think. Fragments of exploded ordnance with US markings, or worse still examples of unexploded ordnance would have been politically embarrassing.
I would suspect that if the US is/was attacking Iran covertly, they would be able to produce unmarked ordinance. They managed to field a stealth Helicopter that no one knew about.
I dare say theres a fair amount in the US arsenal that they don’t make public. Surely their airborne laser would have been capable of the recent explosions?
I’m not meaning to speculate what the US has been upto, just making a point on what they may be capable of.
Think a low flyby of the opening ceremony by 558 with bomb doors open just as the Argentinian team parade would quieten them somewhat. Perhaps writing “remember me?” in the open bomb bay would help too…
:diablo:
Surely the ‘Tin Triangle’ haters can appreciate some of its uses 😀

I have a different theory…

😀
UCAV with heavy loads and fighter performance is well beyond financial means.
Not at all. Existing manned airframes with FBW would be *relatively* straightforward and inexpensive to produce.
As said, anything from fighters to airliners could be converted.
How so? It seems angled to have great forward and decent rear visibility. Having transparency all around the back is worthless, a pilot can’t crank his neck that far back anyways.
The shoulder line of the canopy seems quite high compared to the pilot (unless the pilots just very small)
Forward visibility looks excellent though, probably better than any other 5th gen.
