They’ll be AI aircraft (non-playable). There are freeware versions of the PA 28 available.

Anon, try Yorkshire Air Museum – their T21 has had its spars cut at both ends, and I know yours is intact….

Great idea and well executed… however it does contain one of my pet hates: the tail flash is back to front. (I’m not knocking it – its a great concept!)

My other hate is when one of my engineering students sees any RAF aircraft (we have a JP), looks at the fin and says ‘Is it French?…’

Well done Brummies – more of the same in other cities with a solid aviation link please.

I agree… plenty of qualifications and experience will get you the job. Many years ago, I asked TFC at Duxford for advice in getting into the historic aviation engineering industry – the advice they gave was that I should volunteer at a local museum for hands on experience of restorations, followed by a good education in a relevant subject.

I found myself in a position to work in historic engineering after nearly 15 years of hard graft and found that it was decidedly overrated. Illusion ruined. (I was NOT working for TFC). I now find that I couldn’t move close to Duxford anyway and I’m now teaching my specialist subject while developing my own interests in historic aviation.

Don’t give up on the dream, BUT don’t expect the reality to live up to your expectations after you have strived to get there.

Have we changed the rules here?……….

oh and another thing… Vulcan 118, aside from posting some very obvious aircraft, a good tip would be to remove the name of the aircraft from the filename….

As a non-participant here, lets have some order.

Avion Ancien – time to confirm or deny BenyBoy’s guess… and time for vulcan 118 to guess correctly THEN take his turn.

Ow… burned to a crisp. Fantastic day’s aviating, and I think we had about 40 aircraft today. That constant stream mentioned earlier all arrived together and kept the marshallers very busy. Historic wise, we had a Soko Kraguj and Evans VP-1 G-BKFI.

Years ago we talked about putting Lindy into the Victor prototype colours… now that would look nice – black, silver, red stripe…. (whilst being 100% unauthentic for a K2..:P). So there’s one for after the pink fades.

I have it on good authority that the various BA Concordes have significant corrosion problems particularly around the engine exhausts…. Forget flying a BA example.

Have there been any indications as to Airbus’ reaction to this story? Without design authority support, the project is dead in the water.

We had the Blue Circle fit on 3’s too, although limited to ballast when the radar was out being serviced…….which was often…. I don’t recall the F3s flying with the concrete lumpby the end of the 90’s. That said, I was a rigger….
