Like to see it painted in RAF SEAC colours.
Back in the day, when there was some enthusiastic staff at Duxford, whoever was in the tower would announce the arrival of or let people know something interesting would be flying through. It looks like those days and people have gone, How sad!!!!!!
Ooh dear, not a good day for capturing those precious aviation memories 😉 A return visit after almost 50 years and a departure – They must try harder. Glad you enjoyed our impromptu fly through Roobarb…….
Kings Cup colours?
That would be perfect
Why not Bill Vale? Oh hang on, he wasn’t exactly pc was he, and he spoke his mind, and he was one of the highest scoring aces. And he told the truth about Bader.
That’s probably why he’s been airbrushed out……
I won’t forget Bill Vale, neither should others.
So carry on digging your own grave RAFM Hendon, be all pc and so right on, useless, a waste of a good museum.
This has to be put in perspective. An aeroplane is undergoing an inspection, a problem is found, an item is found to be unserviceable. This item is on one engine fitted to one aeroplane. THE PROBLEM WAS FOUND. Investigate, rectify, carry on. By all means check all the other engines, but carry on. This is why we follow inspection schedules. But to have the Sun, the Daily Fail, the BBC speculating and scaremongering is not helping at all. We have a wealth of experience and knowledge in this industry and our aim is to keep these aeroplanes flying safely. And I emphasise SAFELY.

Top one is a block jack, a pair is needed to lift a block of the crank case.
Lower one looks like a lifting along for a block.
I had the pleasure of working for Ray and Mark at OFMC. I nicer man than Ray you could never find. A true gentlemen. I have so many happy memories of working there. We had a fantastic fleet of aeroplanes, not only 434, but the P51, the Fury, Corsair, Buchon, Dewotine and T6. The T33 and F86. The Hunters. One memory I have is when Ray called me one Sunday asking if I could come in and move the Hunters, strong wind warning I think. I had my late father with me at the time so off we went. Dad was in the RAF when Hunters were introduced into service. When we arrived at Dx I introduced Ray to Dad (they had met once before, but it’s polite) and we set about moving the Hunters of the line. As I set off with the first one I looked across to Ray and dad laughing, like they were old friends. Turns out Ray said that dad saw them into service and was now helping them in retirement ha ha. It was a nice moment. And a happy memory of 2 gentlemen no longer with us.
Sorry if this is waffle, just thought I’d share it.
All the Duxford shows I went to in the bomber, we landed on. I left BBMF in 1990. We never had any problems.
Good points Bruggen 130. I couldn’t agree more.

Here here John Green.
I just hope we don’t wait to long.

I think you know exactly what context I meant.
It’s alright for them to hold a meeting and discussing their rights to having sharia law over here. But of we hold a meeting opposing sharia law!!!
