Chamas
Thanks for the pictures, Chamas!! Can you tell us what the new paint scheme will be?
Dennis
Good shots from a very nice collection. Last time I was there on a day in late May a few years back, it was very, very hot outside too.
I’m curious about the picture of the polished bare metal P-51 that’s parked outside. Did you happen to write down a civil registration for it?
Thanks, Dennis
She spent the weekend of June 3-4 in Spokane.
She looks a lot better than when I lst saw her…more authentic.
I had my first B-17 ride in “Aluminum Overcast” this past Friday when she was in Spokane, thanks to Lowell Thompson. It was a beautiful morning for an awesome, unforgettable flight.
Dennis
whew… thank god its been announced… Potter quietly told a few of us at the Ottawa Air Show Media Launch last Wednesday… try to keep that info in confidence for a while.
You didn’t have to keep quiet very long because it was in the news last Friday.

Yes, three flying Hurricanes in eastern Canada would be awesome.

Here’s the link to Ezell Aviation’s website to see the awesome restoration that they’re doing:
Dennis
Steve,
Best wishes on your flight! Sounds like great fun and a long day……and all for a good cause.
Cheers, Dennis
She was parked in her usual spot when I arrived at Duxford this morning but soon moved to the airfield for her trip to France.
Brian
I may have missed something here. Is the Catalina going to an airshow in France and returning to the UK or did someone in France purchase her?
Dennis
Dennis,
Those piccies were taken in Hanger 2 at Duxford
Oops. I just noticed the note saying that off to the side. Since all of the other pictures were taken in Canada, I made an incorrect assumption that the Hurri pix were also. Thanks for pointing it out.
Dennis
Isnt the desert hurri already here in canada?
Yes, see pictures of it in Canada at this link:

Nice pic of what is now D-IMTT doing high-speed taxying trials in Manching today:
An excellent picture of a beautiful airplane!
Not the easiest aircraft to get a photo of (couldn’t get a picture of the Mossie at all)
Here’s the Mossie picture I took in June 2004.
Dennis
Yes, she’s almost ready to fly again. I look forward to seeing her when she passes through here in June. I can park at the west end of the runway and bask in the sights and sounds of a B-17 in action.
Dennis
B-25s have been one of my favorite warbirds ever since reading Thirty Seconds Over Tokyo when I was about 9. I ‘m very pleased to see this old girl finally getting some attention!
Dennis
I would add Jerry Yagen’s Mossie project in NZ.
