Notice how the blades of each is cutting the rope of the one in front?
No, I didn’t notice that!
Richard.
Lucky guy to see that PBY!
Richard.
Lots of excellent photos there!
I particularly like the ones with the church in the background, it really adds something to the shot. The arty F-5 photo blurred by jetwash is cool, too.
Richard.
I agree, great shots and very nice to see the aircraft in Agent K’s list.
A couple of suggestions, the photos are a bit big for most people’s screens, and if you posted this thread in the “airshow photos” sub-forum perhaps more people would get to enjoy them?
Richard.
Excellent stuff! I love seeing helicopters at airshows, there aren’t enough displays of this type in the USA.
I especially like your photo of the three load-carrying helicopters in formation, I don’t see how it could be more perfect – the helicopters are beautifully aligned, and even the loads are nicely aligned in reverse direction to the helicopters!
Richard.
Jättebra, Wingnut! Tack så mycket för en underbar uppvisning.
Papa Lima,
This is a family website! 😉

Love the Curl & Candid shots.
Was the Spartan really rolling?
The Italians used to barrel roll their G222s, but I’m told that the Spartans are actually performing a proper loop, and that’s what I captured at Brno.

Here are some thoughts on airshow photography:

Hope it’s useful.

Looks like you got some brilliant vapour shots out of both the Lightnings and the Buccaneer!
Richard.
Awesome shots, absolutely give us some more!
Richard.
I particularly enjoyed the Blue Angels takeoff and Blue Angels low-level vapor shots from your first set of photos!
Richard.

Why would Russia retain a red star as a decal on its plane? I thought they dropped this a long time ago..
Probably for the same reason that Aeroflot still uses a hammer and sickle, comrade! 🙂
Richard.
For what it’s worth, here are some photos and commentary of the Collings F-4D:

Love that first Harrier shot, brilliant!
