Indeed a bizarre aircraft that grabbed my imagination too.PaulC
The statement on that data sheet that it’s “the world’s first and only jet flying boat” seems plain wrong (or at least half wrong) – I’ve just spent a week on Russia’s black sea coastline photographing Beriev’s A-42 and A-200 jet powered flying boats in action.

Almost certainly nothing wrong with the camera or the card, as Paul says it’s usually caused by interruption of the file writing process.
The best thing to do is to reformat the card, by choosing the “format” option in the camera’s menu system, or by reformatting it in a card reader.
Many people, including myself, reformat their cards every time they download them. I haven’t had this situation occur for a very long time, and I shoot many tens of thousands of photos a year.

Glenn,
Very, very nice!

Any idea if any more Skyraiders turned up on Sunday..
No, only the one Skyraider turned up all weekend.
Any P-40’s?
Yes, there was one P-40 along with a few P-51s, a couple of P-47s and a P-38.

“Enjoy” is a piece of social lubrication, just like saying “hello” when you meet someone. “Enjoy” doesn’t really mean anything and nor does “hello”. The former is simply a means of communicating “I’m finished now” on a positive note, in the same way that the latter is a means of initiating communication on a positive note.
Is there a better alternative than saying “enjoy”? Sometimes I request comments at the end of a post, maybe that’s more meaningful. But what if someone isn’t looking for comments, but is just posting the photos for other people’s enjoyment? 🙂

Looks like Temora has really put together a first-rate collection of aircraft, world class!
Shame it’s so far away from where so many of us live.
Richard.
Garry,
Fair comment!
It’s always difficult to know where to draw the line when doing website design, I decided on 1024 x 768 pixel screen and reasonably large photos, with the expectation that advancing technology will eventually lift everyone’s boats and allow them to access things quickly.
Anyway, I do provide photo galleries for the technologically challenged, so you can randomly access all of the photos from here:

Nice shots, I’m very jealous of your V-22 photos, haven’t seen one of those yet!
Which air museum is that? Is it open to the public outside airshow days?
Richard.
Andreas,
Those helicopter formation photos are great!
Richard.
Malcolm,
That second one is a beauty!
Richard.
Great stuff, thanks for sharing your photos!
