He is interested in imposing Assad based solution on Arab world and Turkey.
In all honesty, is there another solution? If Iraq, Afghanistan, Libya and Egypt have taught us anything, it’s that overthrowing a dictator in the Middle East only leads to something worse. Right now, all trying to overthrow Assad has achieved for the EU is wave after wave of migrants. With the exception of Turkey, democracy just doesn’t work in the Middle East. The differences are such that the minority following a vote will never cede without a fight and the majority will often catalyse this response by imposing unfair conditions on the minority. Hence why secular dictatorships are the only stable solution for most nations there.
