I can’t help with what has happened to it but I can Know the photos you have posted are from Calshot around 1992/1993??? As we have some at home from similar angles, all take around the take the Sunderland was being prepared to fly the atlantic.

James bond museum
With regards to a james bond museum
At the national Motor Museum at Beaulieu we have some of the boats and cars from the films in a special exibition untill spring 2007
On an aviation note we have have one of the “Parahawks” (I think off the top of my head) The flying snowmobiles i’ll try and get a few photos of it if anyones intrested.

I recently visited Cosford and That Metal structure is encedably Tall. I was most impressed and I can’t wait to see the building when it is finished. I think that many museums are really in need of new housing for exibits not just this one. I do hope however that once that larger museums have all had a share of the lottery money that some the smaller ones will get a bit too to put up a new buildings to help preserve there artifacts and in our case aircraft.
So thats what it was!!!!

I take it this is the one for Manchester Airport. Well when I was there over easter the Engines and a part of the tial were there but that was all.

I Belive that G-HUEY was removed from display at Bournemouth in the Spring(?) and was taken to Noirth Weald(?) to be restored to flight. I think thats what I remember reading in Bournemouth Aviation museums members newsletter.
