Stuff all this bloody nonsense! How much does it cost to buy a suitable slab( or scrounge one) and have it inscribed. A quick whip round and a friendly chat with a local monumental mason who would like his pic in the local paper with the Mayor and its done and dusted.
Both dates looking OK for me at this time – but never underestimate the ability of Mrs Moggy to find things to keep me occupied.
