    We are never going to agree with each other on this forum it would be bloody boring if we did. From my point of view I lost 17 members of my family to war (either killed or using the fashionable term “a life changing injury” from 1915 until Korea) I could not care less what some kid did with his poppy as long as he bought it. Mine will end up in the refuse and I will buy another next year.
    Cyclists are a bloody nuisence on the whole and if our new member is responsible I am pleased and hope he can set a good example to the idiots out there. There are vendetta’s going on between certain members and I must admit I enjoy reading them providing it does not get nasty where is the harm?
    I frequent many forums (or is it fora Kev?) and religion, politics and moral outrage are always a good flashpoint to start a topic on.Remember we are all keyboard warriors and I am sure if we met face to face we would all get on OK with one another!

    I will make my position clear on one other point though. IF I came across someone desecrating a war memorial I would kick the living sh1t out of them!

    Andy that just shows the bigotry and lack of respect for all by the underclasses that inhabit our country. Its sad to think so many died to give this freedom we have for them to them to roam about. To me they are no better than the “Brownshirts” of the Fatherland.
    I was in a asian corner shop today and the staff were all wearing poppies unlike the majority of their customers. To all I never judge a man by his colour, creed or nationality but by his actions

    I fear no foe, with Thee at hand to bless;
    Ills have no weight, and tears no bitterness.
    Where is death’s sting? Where, grave, thy victory?
    I triumph still, if Thou abide with me.

    I wear my poppy with pride from the 1st november until the 11th, This year I bought my poppy and badge in ALDI. They have never allowed any charity collections in that store since it opened no matter what the cause until this.
    From a company based in Essen and as German as they come, good on them!

    Its a pittance of time.

    Remember the Government do not have any money of their own. It is OUR MONEY that they spend.
