Now he is not happy with shoot to kill.Perhaps he would advocate the Police giving them a severe talking to and putting them on the naughty step for five minutes?

As I see it is back to the old problem, money, The Police budgets are being cut along with manpower and resources. The justice system allows burglars, drug dealers, disqualified drivers and those with other serious offences back on the streets with a caution or a community order. I believe if Police numbers were increased and more prisons were built and used for these crimes it would allow Officers more time to watch out for threats to our national security and pass on the intelligence gained to an expanded security network. My force area has many of the uniformed police openly displaying firearms and I feel this number should be increased. I also think there is a very great need for the local Bobby on the beat not dressed like a paramilitary to talk to the local community in a non threatening way and that way much valuable information could be gained about those who may feel disenfranchised or radicalized.

I feel that this would save money in the longer term and cut crime but more needs to be spent now not less. The Asian citizens of this country seem to put their heads in the sand and hope the problems go away a key must be found to unlock this mentality so those that are likely to end up like what we saw on Friday can be identified at a much earlier stage and dealt with in the best way along with those who encourage them. Guns for all Police? no but the facility for armed ones yes provided their are sufficient numbers with a quick response yes. National security is at the top of the list at the moment and more money should be allocated to it on all levels not constantly nibbling away at the budget.Cut the paperwork and simplify the system so more time can be spent on the streets and give the CPS a swift kick up the backside so that crimes end up in court and not dropped and if that means they need more bodies so be it!

Written in the middle of the night while full of painkillers so I hope it makes some sort of sense!

So many innocent lives lost by cold blooded murder. Lives like yours and mine. May the dead rest in peace and my heart is heavy and sore for the relatives and friends of their loved ones.
