Come join Star Alliance and save on Paint!! 🙂
You’rrre a wee lil’ laad! 🙂
Ooh! You can almost hear Blue-faced Mel Gibson scream “….O-U-R F-R-E-E-D-O-M!!” to his troops on the moores 😉
I figured as much from my childhood recollection of accidentally stepping on the wing of a model airplane (I know, the HUMANITY!). But I figured an actual metal aircraft would behave differently, and well, a Hasegawa plastic model is a Hasegawa plastic model, afterall 🙂
The dual airbridges are essentially mounted on a crane that keeps them nicely suspended. Quite secure, though it would be quite a jolt for the disembarking pax if one fell on the wing (do you think it’ll merely go through the wing, or keel the plane over and then go through it?! :))
Oh, incidentally, it was all a dream. You realize that KLM doesn’t even have an A330… 😉
I agree, the gradient may not be the best idea. I’m still tinkering with something that would look good with the cross on the fuselage. I may have to start anew 🙂
Hey thanks for the feedback, though (even yours, Steve “the-perpetually-unpleased” Rowell :))!
😀 I completely understand the innocence with which this has been said, but this thread almost sounds so much like a person from the developed country bemoaning how the natives in Congo have started to wear clothes and that whole rustic, backwater holiday atmosphere has been lost…
I completely agree with you DAirboy, the clank, clank clank as you climb the corrugated metal steps up a jumbo jet; smelling jet fuel, until whoosh, you’re through the doorway of the aircraft and suddenly you’re enveloped in that familiar air-freshner smell…
Yes, this is a real livery change, as can be seen by this photo:
Think of it this way, you walk up to a house by crossing the front yard and ring a door bell. No one has answered yet:
You’re not in the house,
But you’re on the property…
Well, it’s not like you’re sitting in their living room, right?
But you’re on the property…
But no one’s let you in yet!
But you’re on the property…
Well, Tom Hanks is on the property 🙂
Rubs her wrong this much, eh? 🙂
I’ll always remember boarding a PIA 742 in the 70’s and being welcomed on-board by a cabin crew wearing their orchid and green uniform.
Folk or Classical Pakistani music was the norm as a boarding and “after touchdown” fare. Not that I would expect non-Paks to enjoy the genre, but here’s a sampling of the inflight folk music that I remember…

Kabir, I honestly am not 🙂
I was just surprised at the shoot-from-the-hip attitude of AirPower and decided to check his previous posts. I must admit I did editoriolize the sum-total part. Heck, this person might even be likable…
Just did a quick check on AirPower -power poster on the military forum. Explains the froth-at-the-mouth attitude towards anyone and everyone.
Sum-total of AirPower’s posts:
Present govt in India: Really bad
BJP: Only slightly less venerable than God
Anyone non-Indian (hint: Pakistan): Bad
Pakistan: Very, very, very BAD! (and terrorists!, to boot :))
🙂
